In much the same condition as the last time it was here - pictures opposite and words below are from last year. The boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests in recent days, with new certification issued.
A 7 1/4 inch narrow gauge Orenstein & Koppel 0-4-0WT, this one has come to us recently along with a Bagnall from North of the border.
A large engine, seven feet long including tender, with robustly proportioned valve gear and motionwork.
The silver soldered copper boiler was commercially built by Swindon Boilers. Fed by hand and crosshead pumps plus an injector (drawing its water from a tank in the tender), there's not a lot of excuse for running low on water - the steam pump, whilst looking pretty, resolutely refused to pump anything at all.
A quickly detachable sleeve converts the standard parallel chimney into a spark arrester style lookalike.
The engine came to us with current club certification, it's had recent hydraulic and steam test at the works here with new certification issued.
There's some video of it running outside the works here
