Sold shortly after arriving, it came back to us last year from the man we'd sold it to. The boiler had a cladding off inspection at that time, with ultrasonic thickness survey followed by hydraulic and steam tests - it sold a couple of weeks later.

It's now back with us again as its owner looks to downsize to a smaller engine. The pictures opposite and video date from last summer, the engine remains in excellent condition throughout; it steams freely, runs beautifully - and is still a delight to drive!

Only changes are to the tender-mounted seat, now replaced with one mounted on a separate close-coupled trolley, taking weight off the back of the engine, improving steering and reducing any tendency for the front end to lift when starting.

We’ve again hydraulic and steam-tested the boiler, issuing new certification, as well as fitting one of our graphite-filled PTFE regulators – pretty much standard procedure on many of the larger miniatures that pass through our hands these days, they provide leak free, silky smooth operation.

Supplied with a starter kit of coal and steam oil, firing irons and 12 months warranty. If required, we would be pleased to include a half day's training in the firing, driving and maintenance of the engine.
