A 5 inch gauge Great Eastern Railway T26, a purposeful looking 2-4-0, to my eyes - the epitome of the "Light Gentleman's Sporting Locomotive" (although
Tennant's North Eastern 2-4-0 runs it a close second - must be something about 2-4-0s).
This one has come to us along with a similar vintage "Maid of Kent" - both engines have been unused in many years, storage has not been kind to the engine which now requires a thorough overhaul and repaint.
