Work to date includes a rolling chassis, complete with smokebox assembly, drain cocks and steam brake cylinder installed.
With needle roller axleboxes the engine rolls very freely, it runs well on air with well-defined beats.

We've had a couple of these handsome engines in 5 inch gauge - there are pictures in the archive here, along with some of a 7 1/4 inch gauge version which sold last year, showing you what a really top class example, with super backhead, looks like.
