The project has remained untouched in the last twenty years, most of the parts appear to be still in their manufacturer's packaging, as shown opposite.
Everything we have is shown in the pictures - whilst not guaranteeing every last nut, bolt and washer it appears to be a substantially complete set of kits, missing only the pressure and water gauges and steam valves (with after market replacements readily available and, in truth, nicer looking than the original equipment supplied).
Despite the companies' chequered histories, the Britannias remained one of the more successful kits produced by Winson and, latterly, ModelWorks. A good body of knowledge grew up around how to put them together and get the best out of them.
We sold perhaps the most famous of these - the model detailed in the popular "Britannia Builder's Diary" - back in 2022, an engine that ran just as well as it looked.
