The work of an experienced engineer, it's come from the same collection as several very finely made models we've had in recently, including a superb 7 cylinder radial engine, compound twin steam engine and vertical twin early IC engine.
Machining is to a high standard throughout, fit and finish of the motionwork and valve gear excellent.
The engine appears to have been run in the past, it rolls along freely and runs on air, however the left hand injector is missing and its delivery pipe cracked.
The tender was either never built or has gone missing at some stage, however drawings and castings for same are still available from Reeves.
