The work of an experienced engineer, we sold his 4 inch scale Garrett agricultural engine back in 2009.
The beam engine was the last model he built - in failing health and having lost his eyesight, in truth it's remarkable he did as good as job as you see, however machining is to a pedestrian standard, paintwork is poor.
The engine turns over freely, with a good deal of squeaking from dry bearings. We'd consider this one a restoration job - it needs to be pulled apart completely, overhauled and repainted.
