A 6 ton Wallis & Steevens "Advance" steam roller, in use until recently - its last outing was to roll a tennis court in the summer. Complete with all fittings, works plate and original registration number.

An appealing sized machine, it could be stored in a standard garage with chimney removed. I have a high regard for "Advance" rollers - Wallis & Steevens were clever designers and, with the "Advance" produced an easy to drive, fast-reversing roller with its twin cylinder, simple expansion cylinder layout.

Boiler has had cladding removed ready for ten year inspection. It will need at least a set of tubes before it sees regular use again - the ones currently installed survived a hydraulic test as recently as last year according to the previous owner, although I can't remember the last time I saw a set worn quite as thin!
