Vintage steam plant - stock code 13181

An interesting old steam plant, comprising a finely made horizontal engine of elegant proportions, well-observed details and a fabulous patina, along with a vertical boiler.

We suspect that the boiler is a modern replacement for the original, possibly using its fittings including the dead-weight safety valve, try cock, water gauge and whistle. That the engine runs beautifully on 10psi is as well given the very thin material the boiler has been made from - not something we would want to test, we consider it for display only.

The boiler feed pump drive is an elegant arrangement, taken from the valve eccentric via a shaft which also connects to the valve spindle - not something we'd seen before, but looks entirely plausible, we suspect copied from a full-size engine known to the builder.
