Vintage apprentice piece engine with feed pump - stock code 10570

A large table engine with gear-driven feed pump and governor, built as an apprentice piece before the war by a gentleman born in 1919 - in later life he went on to restore steam launches.

A beautifully made thing; we like the fish-bellied connecting and valve rods, finely proportioned eccentric strap, one-piece crank and nicely shaped bearing caps.

Good fit and finish throughout, as you might expect. The engine turns over freely and runs well on air.
