Triple expansion engine - stock code 5527

I sold this back in 2003 - it came from a highly experienced engineer with some super engines to his credit. Since its last visit here, the engine has had an unfortunate experience on a collapsing bookshelf - damage is mainly light and cosmetic, confined to the copper steam receivers on either side and a throttle valve knocked off. The main parts remain in good order, the engine still turns over exactly as before, this would be a light restoration rather than a rebuild.

Words below are from 2003, pictures were taken this afternoon.

Well made triple expansion marine engine, typical of nineteenth century practice with condensor and air pump, slide valves with Stephenson's reversing gear. Drain cocks to all cylinders, wheel regulator valve, all pipe fittings flanged and bolted.

Built to the O.B.Bolton design, revised and described in "Model Engineer" by John Bertinat. The same builder was responsible for an excellent Allchin, the Liverpool and Manchester "Lion" we have in stock and a rather nice Bentley rotary aero engine in 1/6th scale. The engine is around 25 years old, and won his local Model Engineering Society's "Best in Show" award on completion.
