Three 5 inch narrow gauge locomotives, built as a set with one powered, one containing controller and sound card and a third dummy unit.
Inspired by the NDM-6 class of six locomotives which operate on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, sharing duties with the B-class "Sherpa" 0-4-0ST built by Sharp, Stewart in the nineteenth century.
Based on the well-proven AME Locomotives "Jupiter" running gear, the front pair comprise one powered unit and one with sound card. The third is, effectively, an un-powered trailer.
Wheels are driven by delrin gears from the motors, the controller and handset is by Mtroniks.
Supplied without batteries - it needs a pair - the complete outfit has been run three times from new. They make for a commanding presence with two tone horns and an excellent sound system which includes startup, running and shutdown sequences.
The locomotives are painted in prototypically correct livery, with dual English/Hindi lettering, one on each side.
