The engine turns over freely and appears to have been run in the past. It's missing steam and exhaust pipes, the little end pins want trimming to size before they take somebody off at the knees.
What appear to be black oily marks on the cranks, big ends and bearing pillars are, in fact, paint overspray from where the base plates have been painted.
Mounted on turned pillars and a wooden base. Whilst competently executed, the it does little to give the impression of a Victorian engine house - we'd replace it with something more sympathetic.
