A well made Stuart steam pump, complete with drain cocks and loosely mounted on a wooden plinth.

A challenging thing to make, even Stuart concede it requires a good standard of workmanship to function effectively.

This one runs very well on air, pumping water down to a few strokes a minutes - there's some video of it here. With the air pressure increased it quickly emptied one vessel into the other on our test rig.
