Both engine are fitted with displacement lubricators, pipework has been formed and fitted to a high standard (we particularly liked the siamesed exhaust pipes with bolted up flanged joint feeding into the base of the chimney).
The whole plant is mounted on a milled aluminium plate, atop a wooden base with glass case cover.
Under steam in the workshop this afternoon the engines run well, the boiler easily able to keep up with both - there's a clip of it here. The saw bench is fitted with a small slitting saw - looks authentic and makes a good job of cutting through cardboard - you do need to keep your fingers out of it though...
The drive belts originally fitted were somewhat perished, we've made and fitted new ones. The 10V drives a dynamo which, off load, produces about 2 to 3 volts.
