In size and proportion, the engine is similar to the Stuart offering, although with reverser detailing reminiscent of the John Bertinat designs; it's complete with displacement lubricator, drain cocks and a gear driven boiler feed pump. We like the valve chest pressure gauges - suspect from the diameter of pipework that they're ornamental rather than functional, but a nice detail.
The plant is mounted on a substantial polished wood and aluminium base plate. There's a water tank and hand pump with bypass valve to one side, with a gas tank and oil separator - the latter currently not piped up - on the other.
The boiler is missing the cover plate from the far end of the central flue - a simple part which could be replaced by a turned component.
Fitted with a simpling valve connecting HP to LP valve chests, the engine runs on air in one direction, reluctant the other way.
Complete with a propellor shaft and propellor, overall it makes for a handsome, impressive-sized model.
