An older Stuart beam engine, from the days when they had nice turned parallel linkage arms rather than flat plates. This one's on a nasty wooden base, got horrid paint, it's very grubby - and seized. Other than that, a nice engine...

An ideal candidate for pulling apart, repainting and re-mounting on a nicer piece of wood. An ideal project for the coming autumn evenings, you could do it on a table near the fire with no need to venture out into a cold workshop (these are increasingly the kind of projects I'm looking for as years go by...)
