A finely-made example of the Stuart beam engine, from the collection of a
professional engineer who built a variety of engines over his working life. This
engine runs well and is fitted with drain cocks and a
displacement lubricator. It is painted in a deep chocolate brown with
lacquered bright work.
The Stuart beam engines have very modest steam requirements and will run on a
small boiler, right down to the little 2 1/4 inch diameter Stuart 500.
