Stuart "BB" vertical engine - stock code 10220

A Stuart "BB" vertical engine, complete with backplate which is usually missing from these rather rare engines, listed in the Stuart Turner range from 1924 until 1941.

A high speed, fully enclosed engine, the "BB" denoted the overhung crankshaft running on a ball main bearing located in the crankcase.

A similar size engine to the 10V, although with slightly increased stroke and, with its balanced crank. Rated by Stuart for 4000rpm, the design was ideally suited to applications such as driving a dynamo or centrifugal pump.
