A Stuart 504 gas-fired boiler, supplied new in 2019 and apparently unused, complete with manufacturer's documentation.

Largest of the popular 500 series boilers, Stuart began manufacturing these again in recent times (although not the smaller 500 or 501). The well-proven design remains largely unchanged - the boilers are just as nicely built as the older type although now with modern, non-toxic firebox insulation in place of the asbestos boards previously used.

The original boilers were spirit-fired; the latest type feature a ceramic burner jetted to burn a 70:30 butane/propane mix - it provides a clean, quiet and controllable heat source, enabling engines to be run at a tickover if required without the safety valve lifting constantly.
