Stuart 504 boiler & No.9 engine steam plant - stock code 2089

A steam plant comprising Stuart No.9 horizontal mill engine with water pump and dummy governor, coupled to the large spirit-fired 504 water-tube boiler. Commissioned around twenty-five years ago for display at exhibitions on a lathe importers stand, the model has been little-used and rarely steamed. It needs a good clean and possibly repaint - underneath the grime is a nicely made example of a No.9, one of the nicest-looking Stuarts, which runs very well with no discernible wear. The waterpump is coupled up to the boiler and will draw from a resevoir via a flexible plastic tube. The engine is fitted with a displacement lubricator and is plumbed to a regulator valve on the boiler via lagged pipework.
