New Build Locomotives Back to Estate railway locomotives

Stafford FC7 0-4-0 - 7 1/4 inch gauge 0-4-0ST - stock code STFC7040

Derived from the 10 1/4 inch gauge "Big Stafford" 0-4-0 - itself scaled up from our standard "Stafford" - the FC7 range of locomotives use outside frames and flycranks in typical narrow gauge prototype tradition to produce a large, powerful engine for 7 1/4 inch gauge.
The first engine shown opposite, works number 1353, was one of the first batch we built - it was delivered to a commercial railway in the Midlands. There's some video of it shortly before delivery to a commercial railway in the Midlands. Finished in RAL3011, it was panelled in black, hand lined and lettered to the customer's specification. Pictures alongside the standard size "Stafford" give an idea of difference in size between the two engines - both 7 1/4 inch gauge.
The second engine, works number 1354 "Carlsund", shows an FC7 fitted with optional Talyllyn style cab. The engine has polished brass spectacles, type 38 whistle and vacuum brake equipment; we supplied cast, polished nameplates to the customer's specification.
