I had a couple of these signal boxes,
built by Buildings Bespoke to a Scaleway Signals design, from the Sanday Light
Railway when it closed down a few years ago. One is now resident at a friend’s
railway locally, the other has sat on the end of our platform at home since it
arrived.
Substantially built, the box is big
enough to stand up in. It needs repainting and a strip of roofing felt putting
on the ridge, but the timber is all sound, it’s dry inside. Windows slide open
at the front, there is a full-sized access door at the rear.
Height 84 inches to ridge
Length 92 inches excluding the steps
