A well-built chassis and largely complete tender for a 5 inch gauge New York & Hudson River Railroad 4-4-0 to the John Clarke design. We've had a couple of these in over the years, I find it an attractive design and the finished article certainly runs well. Some very light surface rust, but mainly very clean, fit and finish of machined parts is good throughout.

Work to date comprises a well-advanced rolling chassis with motion work and much of the valve gear, including valve eccentric sheaves, straps, rods; expandion links with die nuts; springing and steam brake gear. There are various small parts made and not yet fitted, including smokebox assembly, lamp and bracket, petticoat pipe and reverser stand.
