A well-advanced 5 inch gauge GWR "King", built to a high standard throughout - machining is very crisp, fit and finish of motion is good.

Work to date comprises a largely complete locomotive chassis - valve gear is machined and fitted, outside cylinders require valve spindle clevises, crossheads and guide bars.

There is a rolling tender chassis with soleplate, requiring platework and brake gear to complete.

The CE-marked, silver soldered copper boiler is by the estimable John Ellis, a very finely made thing.

Complete with a set of cabside and tender plates.
