A well advanced 2 inch scale Burrell 5 ton compound steam tractor, built to the MJ Engineering design and using their castings - they also supplied the silver soldered copper boiler.

There is some light surface rust due to storage, however quality of work beneath is to a high standard. The engine is up on its wheels with crankshaft and all gears fitted. Tender and belly tanks have been made and fitted, flanging and riveting all neatly done.

Main job to get the engine running is fitting the machined gunmetal cylinder block and erecting valve gear - the weighshaft bracket requires machining, the valve eccentric straps and sheaves are machined and ready to fit.
