A well-advanced 1 1/2 inch scale Allchin to Hughes' "Royal Chester" design, same builder as the 3 1/2 inch LNER V4 and 5 inch gauge "Butch" currently in stock (and looks like built at about the same time, this is not a recent project!)

Work to date comprises silver-soldered copper boiler, hornplates assembled with tender, gears, crankshaft and flywheel, machined cylinder complete with safety valves, lubricator, trunk guide and crosshead, machined valve gear, assembled wheels with axles and perch bracket. There is a quantity of machined parts including steering gear, pump eccentric, hub caps, dummy springs etc.
