The last project by a prolific model engineer, it's come in with a collection of his other engines, including 5 inch gauge Simplex and Metre Maid, a 3 inch scale Burrell and 3 1/2 inch gauge "Rob Roy", all built to a good standard.
The Allchin has suffered in recent times through poor storage, there is light surface rust on some of the brightwork.
The silver soldered copper boiler appears well-built, with neatly flanged plates and good solder penetration.
Complete with a part-machined cylinder block and various unmachined castings, along with drawings and builder's notes in a folder.
