"ME" Beam Engine - stock code 12988

A well built 1 inch scale "ME" beam engine, nicely painted and mounted on a wooden base. The machining is crisply done, fit and finish of the brightwork good.

The original design, by George Gentry, dates back to 1914. Revised several times since, handsome proportions and fidelity to full-size engines of the nineteenth century have contributed to its enduring popularity.

Complete with boiler feed pump and geared countershaft, the engine turns over freely and very nicely on air.
