An "ME" beam engine, rather an elegant design although, in this case, somewhat inexpertly executed.

The engine turns over freely, although only makes three quarters of a turn on air before stopping - either valve or eccentric position need attention.

We'd put this one down as a rebuild project, although one requiring time in the workshop rather than much by way of additional expenditure.

A worthwhile project, we've had some super examples of this handsome design in the past, including this one which we sold back in 2015.
