A McInnes patent indicator, "For all pressures and speeds, as adopted by the British and Foreign Admiralties" as they say. The instrument is in particularly good condition, in its original mahogany case with brass hinges and catches and complete with all springs, fittings and tools. Contained in the lid is a copy of Crosby's "Practical Instructions for using the Steam Engine Indicator" and a wooden chart rule.
