Markie Showmans engine - stock code 3579

1/10th scale Markie Showmans engine, it is a coal-fired version, factory-built in December 2005 and never steamed from new.

Silver soldered copper boiler, working pressure 90psi, fed by mechanical pump with bypass and auxiliary hand pump. Twin Ramsbottom safety valves. Mechanical lubricator. Gunmetal cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser on footplate. Two road speeds with winch mounted behind left hand rear wheel.

The "exciter dynamo" is actually an electric motor which, powered by a low-voltage adaptor, allows the motion to be run via the flywheel belt (which certainly keeps the living room ceiling somewhat cleaner). Canopy lights are run from the same supply when in "display" mode rather than steaming.

Complete with Markie certificate of manufacture and original boiler certificate, a crane and swingle tree.
