This one came to us as part of a large collection of engines - it's been standing in the owner's hall for the last thirty years to my knowledge (and possibly a good while before that!)
Nicely made, obviously intended to do a serious job of work. It's stiff to turn over although without tight spots - it needs stripping, cleaning and oiling in the first instance.
The valve spindle has broken - an old fracture, possibly after somebody tried to turn the crank over with the slide valve stuck on its face. Not a complicated thing to make, requiring a small amount of stock material and a morning in the workshop.
Complete with mechanical lubricator and eccentric driven boiler feed pump.
