Horizontal mill engine with governor - stock code 11535

An exceptionally well-built model of a nineteenth century horizontal mill engine, a handsome design of fine proportions.

One of those models where, the longer you look, the more detail you see. We particularly like the elegantly turned oilers, split main bearings, gibbed and cottered big end, bar-turned nuts and washers, neatly formed and clamped pipework and the tiled effect engine room floor.

The engine turns over freely and runs on air. It was originally painted to a high standard and still presents very well, with minor age-related wear.
