A very neatly made horizontal marine-type boiler, silver soldered copper construction with cross tubes. The boiler is fitted with pressure gauge, water gauge, safety valve and steam take-off valve, there is a substantial handpump mounted on the base board although yet to be plumbed. Boiler is wood lagged with brass bands, there are two tanks mounted on the base which were intended, I assume, for fuel and condensate. Although there is a small scorch mark under the burner aperture, the boiler appears substantially unused - I suspect it is a 90% finished project which requires some simple plumbing up to finish.
