A nicely made and finished gauge 1 spirit-fired South Eastern & Chatham Railway C-class 0-6-0, designed by Wainwright and produced from 1900 until 1908.

Single cylinder with axle pump, spirit-fired boiler with two wick burner.

No.1691 was built by Neilson, Reid & Company, finally being withdrawn in October 1961 - it would be nice to think that some of the engines we build will have such a long useful life!
