A venerable gauge 1 coal-fired LNER V2, built as a two cylinder locomotive with slip eccentric valve gear.

The engine has obviously seen a good deal of use over the years - the platework needs some restoration and the whole thing needs repainting. The chassis is free to turn over and rolls along easily.

An interesting restoration project, the coal-fired, superheated boiler unusual in this gauge.
