He bought this LNER A3 "Flying Scotsman" - a factory assembled engine - for his granddaughter's 16th birthday, it's been kept boxed and pristine since. Now, with the young lady having just turned 18, she's decided a car would be of more use to her than an LNER Pacific. Sadly, we sold the Stanley some time ago, which would otherwise have been an ideal replacement, affording everyday transport without having to forsake steam completely...
The engine remains in excellent condition, complete with original box, custom-made wooden carrying case, tender dummy coal load, assembly and operating instructions.
