Freelance V-twin IC engine - stock code 9225

A beautifully made OHV V-twin engine, the work of a talented engineer normally involved in building traction engines (currently on with his fourth, a 6 inch scale Burrell Gold Medal tractor).

Helpless when confronted by fine engineering, we bought this one on a bit of a whim - the builder brought it to show us whilst delivering a 1 inch scale "Minnie" traction engine he'd built (the finest one we've seen - to be listed shortly).

An electronics engineer by profession, the engine was built to the builder's own design. Workmanship is to an excellent standard throughout, it is mounted on a finely made base containing a rechargeable battery and the high tension coil.

The easiest thing in the world to start, featuring Hall effect electronic ignition - we were mightily impressed when, having produced the engine from the back seat of his car, the builder nonchalantly started it with a flick of the flywheel, eschewing the starting rope entirely...

There's a clip of it running outside the works here, taken between rain showers earlier today.
