Bought by a gentleman when he acquired a finely-made part-built King, these were ordered to run behind the locomotive when completed. The estimable Mr Hall finished the coaches in timely fashion to his usual impeccable standard, whereupon they were stored away waiting for the day they would take to the track. Twenty years later, the King still at much the same stage as when it arrived, they still await their day in the sun...

Four coaches in as-new condition - one braked, the remainder unbraked. There is light surface rust on some of the wheel treads, although most still carry their maker's paint, never rubbed off by contact with a rail. There are three tiny chips, two around a quarter inch long, the other a half inch, shown in the photographs - the coaches are otherwise in the same condition that they were delivered.
