We sold this one back in 2013, then again some years later. Still runs beautifully, but has suffered damage to one mainshaft in the meantime meaning the flywheel runs out.
A very finely made model of the double diagonal steam engine built by Langbridge & Co of Accrington which is preserved at the Bolton Steam Museum. The work of a retired engineer and prolific model maker, this one has recently come in as part of a collection of stationary, hot air and internal combustion engines, all built to a similar standard.
Pictures and video do better than words for this one - suffice to say fit and finish is impeccable throughout, the engine runs beautifully on a few pounds of air.
