An interesting old engine that deserves a better fate than sitting under the bench in a wooden crate as it has done for the last twenty years! An 0-6-0 saddle tank, apparently built to a works blueprint - there is a single general arrangement drawing for the full size engine. Built to a good standard - the cylinders are well made, iron wheels with separate steel tyres, well-detailed fittings, full brake gear - but completely dismantled. We have been through the box and reckon the engine to be over 95% complete. The saddle tank is missing and, strangely, so too are the main frames although another set are included and almost complete. Everything wants a good clean to start with, then bolting back together - even the fasteners have been saved in a big biscuit tin.
Much faster than building from scratch, this would be an interesting project which would save an unusual old engine.
