We are working this week, open for pre-arranged collection or delivery of engines. The works remain closed to visitors, but we have willing hands able to load and unload safely outside, maintaining social distancing. Can't offer you a cup of tea, which seems downright unfriendly, but we're working on re-commissioning "Loo number two" in unit 17 so you can at least have a leak if you've driven a long way.
Time is fast approaching when we need to start finding the "new normal" and getting the workshop back to full strength. However, before that the four of us who've worked the last seven weeks flat out (none of whom had the foresight to take any holiday between Christmas and the start of the pandemic) need a break!
So - we'll be working this week, closing at 3pm on Friday 22nd May as usual. We'll be closed all of next week then back first thing Monday morning, 1st June (which seemed like an auspicious sort of a date to restart).
Corona virus - update Monday 1st June
The office and workshop reopen today, with a new layout and practices to create a safe environment for delivering, collecting and viewing engines that we have in stock.
