A 6 inch diameter vertical multi-tube boiler, this one came to us from a retired engineer who had spent his life working in commercial vehicle design. In retirement he produced many locomotives, most of which, over the years, have appeared on these pages.

Left on his bench at the end of a long career, the boiler is of rather pedestrian construction - silver soldered, although with a good deal of soft solder calking.
