A well built compound launch engine, finely finished with all brightwork nickel plated. It turns over freely and runs on air although slide valves need resetting - it runs convincingly in one direction, not in t'other.

Quite a large, heavy engine - it's about twice as big as a Stuart launch - it would drive a very large model boat or alternatively be quite useful for a road or rail-based project (a 5 inch narrow gauge "coffee pot" springs to mind)
