Bentley BR2 rotary engine - stock code 6276

I think this is probably the nicest Bentley BR2 I've seen, a superbly made model completed ten years ago, built to Lew Blackmore's design for a quarter size replica. The builder is a retired professional engineer - after five years working in Formula One under Colin Chapman at Lotus in the late 1970s he set up his own design business, taking on a wide variety of commissions around the world.

Pictures tell the story on this one. Machining is as crisp as you could hope to find, finish is exceptional - I especially like the black finish cylinder heads, polished brass fuel tank with spun ends and the understated use of nickel plating. The engine was run for thirty minutes on completion - the builder reports it goes well - since when it has been on display in his house.
