Bailey's vertical hot air engine "Bee" - stock code 10851

Good quality unmachined gunmetal castings for Bailey's hot air engine "The Bee" to the Anthony Mount design.

The original was patented in 1881 and built in two sizes - the smaller suitable for coffee mills, the larger for larger sewing machines - in those days before the advent of the now ubiquitous fractional horsepower electric motor.

Construction of the model was serialised in "Model Engineer" magazine from September 2001 to April 2002. Castings and drawings are available from Polly Engineering.
