It remains unsteamed, in excellent condition throughout and, since last here, has been fitted with radio control by Steve Foster of Fosworks and acquired a custom-made wooden carrying case.
Words below are from 2021, pictures opposite were taken in recent days.
A spirit-fired gauge 1 Aster 9F 2-10-0 "Evening Star", a factory-built locomotive steamed once from new for the owner by all-round Aster expert Geoff Calver of Rushford Barn Models - he also modified the lubricator at that time.
Unsteamed since delivery, the engine has been kept for display - it remains in immaculate condition. Complete with its original carton, packaging, tool kit and manuals.
(For those who haven't seen Geoff's website, it's well worth a look - his photography still the gold standard we aspire to).
