An Amanco "Hired Man" 2 1/4hp hit and miss engine, serial number 120594, dating it from around 1913-14.

It's recently arrived with a couple of smaller Listers as part of a large collection, comprising mainly 7 1/4 inch gauge locomotives and rolling stock.

The engine turns over freely with good compression, it's mounted on a purpose built trolley with cast iron wheels and storage for oil can and starting handle, with a towing pole to move it around.
