Alyn Foundry "RLE" hopper-cooled engine - stock code 11623

An open crank, hopper-cooled engine built to the highly regarded Alyn Foundry "RLE" design.

Well made and painted, the engine is mounted on a wooden box containing spares, an ingition coil, tools and space for a battery. There is a sheet of paper showing wiring for coil, carburettor needle setting and recording the fact that the engine first ran on the 1st of December 2002, which must have been something of a red letter day for the builder!

The engine turns over freely with currently with no discernible compression, although the valves are going in the right directions at appropriate times as you turn it over.
